October 17, 2011 – Virtual Shows Are Becoming the “New Normal”

Like a physical show, the virtual show contains, exhibit booths, conferences and an area where attendees can socialize. Unlike physical shows, virtual shows require no venue, show dresser, travel, hotel stays, shipping, car rentals, restaurant dining, or time away from business or home. These advantages alone are staggering, but consider this. Speakers need not travel nor stay at a hotel, saving the producer money and making it easier to afford and attract key speakers. There are no costs of renting a convention center for a given amount of days then having to leave it for the next event.

September 21, 2011 – E-News to Publish Souvenir Program for Virtual Expo

Campground and RV Park e-News has once again been selected by the Producers of the Virtual Outdoor Hospitality Expo to publish the Souvenir Program for this year’s event. Advertising rates for the Souvenir Program are reasonable, especially considering the “shelf life” of the publication. Even if a company is not exhibiting at the Virtual Expo, the Souvenir Program represents a unique opportunity, to present their product or service to nearly 11,000 recipients of the publication.

September 7, 2011 – Yurts of America Joins Virtual Expo

“We have been big promoters of Cabins, Park Models and Yurts for the Campground Industry”, says Art Lieberman, Producer of the Virtual Outdoor Hospitality Expo, taking place on the Internet November 10th and 11th of this year. “Last year we were successful at having several cabin and park model manufacturers as exhibitors at the Virtual Expo, and some are also returning to this year’s event, but we were unable to convince a yurt manufacturer to participate.” This is particularly ironic since both Campground Expositions and MCPS for Campgrounds are operated from a 30-foot yurt in New Berlin, PA. Lieberman and Co-producer Deanne Bower are gratified that Yurts of America, located in Indianapolis, Indiana agreed to become an Exhibitor at this year’s Expo.

Producers of the Virtual Outdoor Hospitality Expo will be notifying over 1,400 suppliers for the outdoor hospitality industry that they can actually view a preview of the entire convention at 2:00 PM Eastern Standard Time on Tuesday, August 23rd. The actual Expo is set for 12 noon until 6:00 PM on November 10th, continue on the 11th and then be in the “on demand” status for 60 additional days. E-mails announcing the preview webinar will be sent out to suppliers of goods and services to campgrounds, marinas, golf and ski resorts, paddleboat and canoeing resorts and even dude ranches this week.

June 6, 2011 – Virtual Expo Shifts Show Dates One Day

“It’s entirely my fault”, admitted Art Lieberman. “I was so anxious to take advantage of the November 11th (11-11-11) date as an opening for our second Virtual Outdoor Hospitality Expo that I continued to think like the producer of a physical event, rather than the producer of an event conducted entirely on the Internet. Call it a senior moment!”

February 3, 2011 – We’re Number 1 and Number 11/11/11

The Virtual Outdoor Hospitality Expo producers have announced the final tallies for attendance at the 2010 version of their trade show and conference, held entirely on the Internet thru Monday, January 31st. Campground attendance shattered records for physical shows at any regional or state association in the history of the industry. Two Hundred and Seventy-Nine distinctive RV Parks had representatives visit the site during the 3-day live event and the additional 90 day “on-demand” period. All in all, nearly 500 unique attendees visited the event. According to some of our more experienced vendors, some of the Expo’s attendees had never visited a national show in the industry.

The show, which is now in the “on demand” status, is still being attended by campgrounds and other outdoor hospitality businesses which cannot make it to the annual event being produced by the campground industry’s association.

August 17, 2010 – Vive La Différence – Why a Virtual Show?

“It might be purely for selfish reasons that we’ve chosen to produce a virtual show.” says Art Lieberman, whose Virtual Outdoor Hospitality Expo will be on the Internet November 1st through 3rd of this year. “We wanted a venue where our primary business, MCPS for Campgrounds, could see thousands of potential customers. A virtual show was ideal considering the economy, the hassles of travel and shipping and the time spent on preparation”
